# Writing your own integration Put the helper in its own module under `edri/integrations/`, guard the optional import, and add the dependency as an extra in `pyproject.toml`: ```python # edri/integrations/yourlib.py try: import yourlib except ImportError as e: raise ImportError( "edri.integrations.yourlib requires yourlib. " "Install it with: pip install edri[yourlib]" ) from e ``` ```toml # pyproject.toml [project.optional-dependencies] yourlib = ["yourlib>=1.0"] ``` Keep `edri/integrations/__init__.py` free of optional imports so `import edri` never triggers them.
