Writing your own integration

Put the helper in its own module under edri/integrations/, guard the optional import, and add the dependency as an extra in pyproject.toml:

# edri/integrations/yourlib.py
try:
    import yourlib
except ImportError as e:
    raise ImportError(
        "edri.integrations.yourlib requires yourlib. "
        "Install it with: pip install edri[yourlib]"
    ) from e
# pyproject.toml
[project.optional-dependencies]
yourlib = ["yourlib>=1.0"]

Keep edri/integrations/__init__.py free of optional imports so import edri never triggers them.
